We Accept The Canadian Dental Care Plan (CDCP)
The Canadian Dental Care Plan (CDCP) is a federal government program designed to cover a portion of dental care treatment costs for Canadians who qualify. The CDCP is a benefit administered by Health Canada and not a free dental plan. Not all the dental services that may be required for patients will be covered under the CDCP.
For more specific information about the Canadian Dental Care Plan, including what is covered and what is not covered, please visit https://www.canada.ca/en/services/benefits/dental/dental-care-plan.html

Are all the members of my family eligible for the CDCP?
If you have a family net income of less than $90,000, and do not already have access to dental insurance, your family could qualify for coverage. Coverage will vary depending on your net family income.
As of May 1, 2025, applications are open for seniors aged 65 and older, adults between 55 and 64, children under 18, and adults 18 to 54 with a valid federal Disability Tax Credit certificate. Adults between 18 and 34 will be able to apply on May 15, 2025, and adults 35 to 54 will be able to apply on May 29, 2025.
Please note that you need to reapply yearly for this benefit
The CDCP Dental Benefit Grid does not match the NSDA (Nova Scotia Dental Association) suggested fee guide, so all CDCP patients should expect a co-pay, even if you are 100% covered under the plan. The CDCP does not inform dental clinics of your specific coverage, it’s your responsibility to understand your coverage. Your coverage will be determined by your household net income.
We sincerely appreciate your patience and understanding as we implement the new systems and procedures necessary to offer this benefit. Rest assured we are committed the highest quality of care for our patients and we can’t wait to meet you!
Warm Regards,
Alliance Dental Wolfville
